Biography

Jack Meredith graduated in 1961 with a BS in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. After working in industry for seven years, he obtained an MBA and PhD in Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Choosing academia as a career, he is currently a Professor of Management and a Broyhill Distinguished Scholar and Chair in Operations at the Babcock Graduate School of Management, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 2001, Meredith had two textbooks published: Quantitative Business Modeling (South-Western Publishing) and Operations Management for MBAs, 2nd edition (Wiley). He recently retired after a seven-year tenure as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Operations Management, the top academic journal in his field. Once a member of the OSU freshman tennis team, Meredith still enjoys the game.
